Our Story

About the Songwriter

G-Mara was born and raised in the heart of NYC. Her early poetry writing as a child later helped her develop the musical ability to create melodies to accompany lyrics. She began piano lessons in 1997, which later helped her become more fluent with her songwriting. She can write different styles such as Ballads, Pop and Christian Contemporary music yet, this songstress continues to expand her repertoire of music. Being a romantic at heart, she enjoys writing songs that not only tell a story but touch the deepest part of a person's soul.

Story Behind the Songs

Being a parent herself, she was faced with the dilemma of finding the perfect Quinceañera song for her daughter. With the lack of songs to choose from, she decided to put her own creative songwriting abilities to work. She wanted to take that gift for her daughter and make it available to anyone who at one time or another have been faced with that similar situation. As a mother herself, she knows the importance of finding that perfect song for such an important occasion. Her love for song writing has allowed her to continue to write songs for many other Quince girls and their families who are planning that memorable Sweet 15 or Sweet 16 event.
